It is the Law of England & Wales that all students in Schools, Colleges and Sixth Form Centres attend a general curriculum in Social Cohesion and Enrichment.
It is also the regulations of Catholic schools and colleges to provide spiritual enrichment to all students in their care.
The Core Religious Studies programme in years 12 and 13 addresses that Spiritual Development.
Students will carry out a number of practical elements of spirituality. These include, school service, assemblies and charity fundraising.
The Department of Religious Studies & Philosophy at Archbishop Ilsley Catholic Sixth Form Centre offers a positive Catholic ethos to our students however, the Department is conscious that our Sixth Form Centre accepts applications from all faiths and none.
Therefore, we realise that one can be a non-believer and excel in the courses we offer although; students will focus on a Catholic Christian response to specified contemporary issues.
