Introduction

Behaviour Team

Home and School working together in partnership ensures that all of our pupils will be happy, heathy, safe and successful during their time at Archbishop Ilsley. We are here to help, support and guide all of our pupils.

Mission:

Archbishop Ilsley is committed to developing the full potential of every individual. Unsafe practices are challenged and we are intolerant of anything that threatens the physical, emotional or intellectual well-being of our pupils.

Our Principals for Behaviour:

  1.  Our Behaviour Policy is based on Gospel Values as presented in the Beatitudes
  2.  Pupils have responsibility for managing their own behaviour
  3. There is a balance between sanction and reward

Archbishop Ilsley has a Vertical Tutoring system of tutoring. Pupils are in House groups and have two tutors. House groups are named after great Catholic saints:

  • St Brigid
  • St Francis Xavier
  • St Joseph
  • St Catherine of Siena
  • St Augustine
  • St Monica

Tutors are the first point of contact should there be any pupils concerns. A head of house will have responsibilty for all pupils in their family group. Tutor groups will be of mixed ages, consisting of strudents from year 7-13. Pupils have at least one assembly each week, Heads of House and tutors closely monitor pupils attendance as well as coordinating inter form and House competitions.

Our St Patricks' support centre assists tutors and heads of house providing the best care possible for our pupils.

Our school based nurse supports pupils with medical concerns.

Our attendance team monitors pupils attendance and supports heads of house and tutors in providing intervention strategies to ensure that pupils have excellent attendance
